Under the title ‘Language of Love: Asta Nielsen, Early Cinema and Modern Life’ , the Filmmuseum, the University of Amsterdam (Media Studies) and the University of Utrecht (department of Media and Culture Studies) present a seminar about the silent film star Asta Nielsen. Several experts on her oeuvre will give lectures during this seminar. Furthermore, a unique selection of Asta Nielsen films from the teens will be screened during this day. These films are a perfect illustration of her remarkable talent and versatility as an actress.
